Chamber Music Program

The chamber music program will consist of coachings, rehearsals, master classes, concerts, and performances. Students will receive expert coaching on a daily basis with faculty members. Students will also participate in daily master classes in the afternoon. Performances in the evening will create culminating experiences.

Adult Program

The BIMF Adult Program is a way for adult musicians, music teachers, and coaches to refresh their performing skills and teaching methods with new ideas from our outstanding faculty, meet new colleagues, and perform in our classes and concerts. Adult participants will be placed in one ensemble to rehearse independently, receive faculty coaching before performances, and be invited to special classes as their schedules allow. American Language Institute (ALI)

At American Language Institute (ALI) at California State University, Bakersfield, we offer a special two-week language training for Bakersfield International Music Festival participants.  Students will practice listening and speaking English in a classroom with American teachers.  Classes will cover everyday conversation topics as well as basic academic topics such as technology, psychology and science.
